How to choose your heating film

Are you renovating or building a ceiling, and thinking of putting an invisible, maintenance free heating system inside it? A heating film is worth considering, provided the choice is made on the right grounds.

1. Durability

Corrosion is what kills a heating film, so both the heating element and the supply side need to resist oxidation. Look for a film whose active area uses carbon ink and whose electrical part is tinned copper, so that nothing degrades over the years.

2. Fire behaviour

A ceiling is a sensitive place in a fire, so the heating film must not spread flame. Choose a film that is flame retardant on both faces.

3. Guarantee

To be covered from the order through to the finished installation, the guarantee matters. The heating film we supply carries a 25 year guarantee, including public liability cover.

4. Technical support
