The problem: radiant heating gets set like a radiator

The usual reflex is to switch off at night and push hard in the morning. That suits a convector, which responds in minutes. Applied to a radiant ceiling, which rises and falls slowly, it makes the system work against itself all day long. The bill goes up and comfort goes down.

What the right thermostat changes

A touchscreen connected thermostat or a radio thermostat controls the setpoint room by room, follows the household's real rhythm and answers from a phone. The gap between an approximate schedule and a considered one shows up directly on consumption, without changing a single screw in the installation.

The three mistakes we see most often

Fitting the thermostat on a wall in direct sunlight or crossed by a service duct. Switching a high-inertia system off completely at night. Raising the setpoint to compensate for poor insulation, when a few millimetres of reflective thin insulation would have solved the problem upstream.
