How to install a Ceilingo heated ceiling

Five stages, five checks

Fitting comes down to five operations, and each ends with a verification that can no longer be done afterwards. It is that discipline, more than technical difficulty, that separates a successful job from an average one.

Survey and setting out

Measure the height at several points, locate the services, place the low points. The check consists of verifying that the finished height quoted remains achievable under the lowest lintel in the room.

Fitting the perimeter rail

It fixes the final level of the ceiling. The check is a simple laser level all round, and it is done before anything else goes up, because everything else depends on it.

Insulation and closing the plenum

The reflector is fitted continuously, with the widths overlapped and the perimeter closed. The check is done by hand, feeling for air paths along the edges and around the penetrations.

Heating elements and connection

They are fixed flat, with no fold and no overlap, at a constant distance from the facing. The check covers the resistances measured zone by zone and the labelling of the circuits, which will be handed to the client.

Tensioning the fabric

It is the one irreversible stage of the job. The checking has already happened: if the previous four were done, this one is limited to the flatness and the cleanliness of the visible result.
