Insulated, heated stretch ceiling in a flat

Insulating and heating within the same thickness

A heated stretch ceiling takes a few centimetres. Adding insulation asks for no more, since the reflector sits in the plenum already created. It is the one configuration where both functions share the same volume.

What lies above decides everything

If the flat above is heated, loss through the ceiling is small and the insulation mainly serves to send radiation back down. If it is a loft or a roof, the same fitting becomes a major saving measure.

The top floor, a special case

That is where the gain is clearest, in winter against losses and in summer against the heat crossing the roof. The same product works both ways and therefore serves all year.

The middle flat

Between two heated homes, the ceiling is not a loss surface. The value of the system there is comfort and freeing the walls, and it is honest to say so rather than promise a saving that will not exist.

Acoustics, often dealt with at the same time

A flat ceiling transmits footsteps from the floor above. That point belongs to the floor more than to the ceiling, but treatment in the plenum reduces part of the airborne noise and is fitted in the same operation.

Comfort in an urban home

No radiator under the windows, no air movement, no dust moved about. In a small area those three points weigh more than in a house, because every square metre is in use.

The insulation is presented on the R'BULL Pro 13 page, and the system on heated radiant stretch ceiling.
