Mirrors are not only decorative objects

An object we ask only one thing of

There is a mirror in nearly every hallway, every bathroom and many bedrooms. It is a large flat surface, vertical, at head height and facing into the room. No other object in a home brings those four characteristics together, and yet all we ask of it is to return an image.

What its geometry allows

A vertical, flat, wide surface is exactly what is needed to emit infrared radiation towards a standing person. It is also what is needed to set a membrane vibrating and produce sound with no enclosure. Both functions fit behind, changing nothing in front.

The three in one principle

A mirror, a heater, a loudspeaker: the Mirolia technology puts all three into the same object. Nothing shows, no grille, no visible cable, and the mirror is still chosen for what it is, which is to say for how it looks.

Why this matters most in small rooms

In a bathroom or a hallway, every object has to justify the space it takes. A mirror that only reflects occupies a wall without paying for it. A mirror that heats and carries sound gives that wall back to the room, since it replaces two appliances that will not have to be fitted.

What it does not do

A heated mirror does not replace the heating of a large living room, and a sound mirror does not replace a cinema installation. They are excellent secondary answers in rooms where nothing else can go, and that is better said beforehand than afterwards.

The technology is presented on the made to measure Mirolia heated mirror page, and the sound version on the Mirolia Panel Deco page.
