The figures, one by one

Thirteen millimetres thick. A roll 1.20 m by 20.90 m, which is 25 m², weighing 19 kg, about 775 grams per square metre. An emissivity measured and declared at 0.053 to ISO 22097:2023, with an S factor below 0.03. A reflection coefficient of 95 %. A reaction to fire classification of B-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1.

What those figures mean in practice

The weight decides whether one person can fit it to a ceiling, and the answer is yes. The emissivity decides what the product sends back rather than absorbs. The fire classification decides where it may be fitted, and behind what facing in a building open to the public.

The assessment framework

The product falls under European Technical Assessment ETA 22/0178, BOLTHERM family. We speak of an assessed product, never a certified one: an ETA describes and frames measured characteristics, it does not award a label. The distinction is regularly disputed, and it is nonetheless correct.

What is not in the figures

How it holds over time appears on no line of a data sheet. It comes from the choice of materials: high density polyethylene and pure aluminium do not degrade the way organic binders do, which is what allows us to speak of a service life beyond fifty years.

The full sheet is on the R'BULL Pro 13 page, and the fire behaviour in detail on the page about reaction to fire.

A word about the title of this page

Talking about records is a shortcut, and we would rather own it than dress it up. No insulation breaks a record in absolute terms: it is compared with other products, on chosen criteria, under given conditions. What we claim is more modest and more checkable: measured values, a named method, and written installation conditions.
