A workshop garage is not a room like the others

It is often under a roof, poorly insulated, and lit by two or three inadequate light points. It is also a space where people work standing up and where visual comfort counts as much as temperature.

Insulation, the first subject

Under an uninsulated roof the space is freezing in winter and stifling in summer. Closing the ceiling with a reflector deals with both seasons in one fitting, which matches the intermittent use of that kind of space.

Lighting, a direct consequence

An aluminium face sends light back instead of absorbing it as a dark structure does. At the same electrical power the space looks markedly brighter, simply because the ceiling stops swallowing the lighting.

What brightness changes in a workshop

The precision of the work and tiredness at the end of the day. It is a concrete benefit for manual use, and it costs nothing more since it follows from the nature of the facing already fitted.

The question of dust

A workshop produces it. A smooth, continuous surface can be cleaned, unlike an open structure where dust settles between the timbers and comes back down at every vibration.

Linking the zones

In a garage the walls are often taken up by storage. The ceiling remains the only free, continuous plane, which also makes it the best support for distributing lighting evenly. A track fitted overhead lights a bench without casting a shadow, which a wall light never does.

The product is presented on its data sheet, and the fitting on the execution page.
