R'BULL Pro thin insulation for internal walls

A wall is not treated like a ceiling

At ceiling level, the constraint is height. On a wall it is the floor area lost, but also the sockets, the switches, the skirtings, the window reveals and the furniture against it. Every centimetre taken shows and meets an existing object.

Why thinness counts more here

Lining a wall with traditional insulation means a framework, a board and often reworking the internal joinery. A thirteen millimetre product stays within a thickness that does not force the door frames to be moved.

The walls that deserve the treatment

Those facing outside, an unheated space or a stairwell. A partition wall between two heated rooms does not justify the same effort, and saying so avoids insulating what did not need it.

The air gap on a wall

It is created with battens or a light framework before the facing. The principle is the same as on a ceiling, but checking is easier since everything stays at eye level during the works.

The feeling of a cold wall

It is what is felt most in a room. A north facing wall absorbs the body's radiation and creates local discomfort, even in a room whose displayed temperature is correct. The treatment acts directly on that point.

The awkward points

Corners, window reveals, partition returns. That is where continuity is lost, and a wall treated in the middle but broken at the corners gives a result far below what the product allows.

The product is presented on its data sheet, and the fitting on the execution page.
