Should reflective thin insulation be judged on its thermal resistance?
What is the R value of thin insulation?
As Albert Einstein put it, everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid. The remark fits reflective thin insulation rather well. These products are regularly dismissed against conventional insulation on the strength of their low thermal resistance alone.
