Refurbishing a ceiling near Montpellier

A heated stretch ceiling installed as part of a ceiling refurbishment near Montpellier, in southern France.

What made this job particular:Cutting heating consumption, and freeing the walls of unsightly radiators.

The approach:Create a sealed air gap using a current generation thin insulation product, working rather like double glazing.

The technique:It consists in heating the whole of that space, known as the plenum, so that temperatures are distributed evenly across the room.

The benefits:A quick, dust free job. Recovery of every source of heat produced in the room, from appliances, lighting, body heat and the radiant panels themselves, and re-emission of that thermal energy across the entire surface of the stretch ceiling.
