It is dry. No filler, no tape, no sanding, so no waiting for anything to dry. The schedule is no longer dictated by the chemistry of materials but only by actual labour time.

The typical sequence

Survey and setting out, fitting the rail, fitting the insulation, closing the plenum, tensioning the fabric. Each step follows the previous one immediately, which is why an ordinary room is dealt with within the day.

What makes a job longer

Unlocated services, light fittings decided along the way and substrates in poor condition. None of those three is a surprise if the survey was done properly, and all three are hard to put right afterwards.

The home stays lived in

No sanding dust, no smell, no skip. Floor protection and tidying up in the evening are enough, which clearly sets this kind of work apart from a traditional ceiling replacement.

What speed does not replace

A fast job is still a prepared job. The speed comes from the absence of dead time, not from steps left out, and it is precisely the preparation that produces that absence of dead time. A firm that announces one day and takes three surveyed badly, it did not work badly, and the difference is settled before the first hole is drilled.
