A heated ceiling fitted by a client whose house stands in the Jura, at 300 metres above sea level.
The kitchen and the living room were fitted with eFilm heating films, over a total area of 45 m².
To reach the comfort he was after, serious insulation went in first, to keep the heat produced by the Ceilingo system inside the room.
Once the metal ceiling framework was up, high density rock wool panels with rebated edges were fitted between the furring channels.
Resting on those channels and sitting flush with the underside of the framework, the heating films end up sandwiched between the insulation and the plasterboard. With the carbon films wired to the supply and their operation checked, the plasterboard of the suspended ceiling went up.
With thanks to our client for kindly sending us the photographs of this fine piece of work.
In his own words: "The system heated the house all last winter, and it felt pleasantly warm even though it was set to 13 degrees."
