Heated ceilings: only made to measure gives real comfort

An emitter is not chosen from a catalogue

A radiator is sold in standard outputs, and the installer fits two if one is not enough. A radiant ceiling covers a given area in a given room: there is no standard version that would suit every configuration.

What the calculation takes into account

Orientation, glazed area, the nature of the surfaces, shared walls, ceiling height and the real use of the room. Two rooms identical in area can call for outputs that vary by a factor of two.

Why it is settled before fitting

Once the fabric is tensioned, the heated area is fixed. An undersized ceiling is not added to, it is taken down. It is the one mistake on this kind of job that genuinely costs a lot.

Oversizing is not the answer

Installing too much output does not only cost more to buy. It leads to control working in short cycles, with perceptible variations, whereas the value of the system lies in its stability.

Dividing into zones

A dual aspect room, a corner room and a corridor do not have the same needs at the same moment. Dividing into separately controlled zones is what turns a correct calculation into genuinely even comfort.

What made to measure does not mean

Neither a longer lead time nor an unpredictable price. The components are standard, it is their assembly that is specific to the project, and a trained installer produces a study within a few days. What is made to order is the fabric and the zoning, not the heating equipment itself.

Evenness is developed on the dedicated page, and height on the minimum height page.
