Choosing comes down to three questions

Where the product will be fitted, what thickness is available, and what function is sought. Those three answers almost always point to a single reference, whereas reading the data sheets side by side leaves the choice open and confused.

The question of the substrate

A floor, a wall and a ceiling do not face the same constraints. A product intended for a floor carries a load and works on impact noise; a ceiling product is chosen for its weight and its behaviour in a closed plenum.

The question of thickness

That is the limiting parameter in renovation. Depending on the room available, the range offers thicknesses from five to twenty millimetres, and the right product is simply the one that still lets the necessary air gap exist.

The question of function

Thermal alone, acoustic alone, or both. An R'BULL Pro works on radiation; an R'Acoustic also deals with sound absorption. Asking both of a product designed for one use leads to a predictable disappointment.

The multilayer

The twenty millimetre version stacks several separated reflective layers. It is intended for situations where there is room and where the effect of several gaps is sought, without moving to thick insulation.

What does not change from one product to another

The fitting rule. Air gap in front of the reflective face, overlap of the widths, closure at the perimeter. No reference in the range works without those three points, and none replaces them.
